On 28th May 2009, the latest edition of the Urban Art Forms Festival will commence, featuring a massive line-up that so far features artists like Kraftwerk and Sven Vath, not to mention the Dogs On Acid-helmed DnB area, which is set to feature sets from DnB heavyweights like Noisia and Subfocus, with a host of DJs and acts to be announced. Seeing as we love putting the new blood in a position to receive maximum exposure, we’ve concocted a competition giving you, the super fresh DJs of the DOA community, the chance to have your name alongside the heavyweights, and your skills on display for the tens of thousands who will be in attendance during this three-day festival; that’s right, you guys will be competing for a 90-minute DJ set on Friday, 29th May 2009, during this year’s Urban Art Forms Festival; this prize also includes your travel and hotel being paid for, which means you’ll be staying in the same hotels as some of the world?s leading Electronic Music DJs and artists!

This competition will be broken into sections, and here is how the first tier will work: the initial phase will be Dogs On Acid and Urban Art Forms looking for nominations – the first 100 to be exact. Gaining entry is simple: send an e-mail to uaf@dogsonacid.com with the following info on you, the DJ:

Your DJ Name
A valid MySpace/Facebook page, or the URL to your DJ page
Age, Address and Contact numbers
A Photograph

(make sure your nomination e-mail has all of the requested information!!)

The first 100 DJs to send us all of the above will be put into our pool. This is the ONLY way to gain entry into the first phase of this DOA/UAF DJ competition, so make sure you give us the goods so you can be counted. Keep in mind: the Urban Art Forms Festival will take place over a three day period in Austria, so make sure your schedule is free for this event.

We will be accepting nominations until Wednesday, 25th February 2009. From there, we will be alerting the 100 DJs of their nomination by email, and we will post that complete list on The Board. You will then have one week to submit an 8-10 minute Mega Mix; we will be looking for DJs who think outside of the box, and your mix should showcase your singular skills, skills that prove without a shadow of a doubt that you deserve to be on that stage.

We will accept your Mega Mix no later than 4th March 2009; the final winner will be selected and announced by 11th March 2009. Dogs On Acid and Urban Art Forms reserve the right to choose a winner at our discretion.
