Many people will know Dominic Betmead as one half of Uk production duo the nextmen.
However, on Saturday the 17th of october, we will know him as the birthday-boy, and Brixton Jamm will be proudly hosting what promises to be ‘a right old knees up’.
Having pioneered the connections between dancehall, hip-hop and a variety of bass music, the guys will be working their way round four decks and bringing out some naughty b-day bootlegs.
Support comes in the form of Camden town’s very own cheeky boys, Man like me. They will be bringing a fusion of indie, electro and a dash of garage which will have you reaching for your reebok classics! These guys are hot shit at the moment, and have already established themselves as dancefloor favorites amongst the uber-trendies with a full live show to whip south london into a skinny jean frenzy.
In perfect harmony with the celebrations, Brixton new-boys the Illersapiens will be providing us with a sample of live unadulterated hip-hop.
But whats that? No crack, no guns and no bitches! Oh no, this seven piece band take pride in promoting positivity and freedom of speech which comes across in a surprisingly mature, level-headed assortement of beats and bass.
Djs on the night are provided courtesy of Reggae Roast, Earwax and not forgetting a firm favorite, who doesnt care much for single genres, Mr Urban Nerds : Rattus Rattus.
