Top Cat
Top Cat is one of the most talented MC’s to come out of the UK. With a career spanning 20 years which include 11 number 1 singles, 2 National top 20 hits, MC of the Year 4 times and the only MC to hold MC of the Year in both the reggae and the jungle scenes at the same time his achievements as an artist are undeniable.

Top Cat has also excelled as a producer producing his own tracks as well as other artists such as Tenor Fly, Nerious Joseph, Baby Wayne, Simpleton, Mike Anthony and many more cover the years. His productions have also seen him win Record of the Year at the Reggae Music Awards in 1995.

A pioneer in the UK urban music scene, Top Cat’s vocals have been highly sort after and were used in the creation of the jungle scene and also the speed garage scene, the latter leading to the first top 20 garage tune to hit the charts in 1997 paving the way for an influx of many other mainstream acts after. As an artist Top Cat is dynamic both on record and as a live act and has performed all over the world to many a large audience from the Far East, to the USA to Eastern and Western Europe to the Middle East.

Serial Killaz
Officially the Jungle legends’ remixers of choice, the Serial Killaz are comprised of Tobie Scopes AKA DJ Tera and Vital Elements (or Graham Warnock to his mates). Their successive hit remixes of classic jungle tunes such as Congo Natty’s ‘Junglist’ and ‘Wardance’, Terry T’ & Demoltion Man’s ‘Fire’ and Marvellous Cain’s ‘The Hitman’ have seen the pair gain support from such highbrow, disc spinning luminaries as DJ Hype, Nicky Blackmarket, Kenny Ken and Micky Finn while their own DJ schedule is looking more than hectic with offers from all over the globe flooding in.

Dj Tera will be spinning on the one’s and two’s along side Top Cat on this night to be remembered.

Stivs and Mattycore
In 2000 Stivs started mixing and helping to organize Life4Land, a soundsystem and later a record label in Cambridge, playing breakcore, gabba and jungle. He started producing in 2003, developing a particular talent for writing ragga based jungle, dubstep and tekno styles unlike anything else out there, but deeply inspired by soundsystem culture. He is also a member of the D.S.C with Ed Cox who have been voicing ragga artists such as Daddy Freddy and Murray Man.

A big inspiration to his music was touring Europe in 2006, with Ed Cox and Pieface, playing clowncore and life4land mash up jungle at teknivals and clubs dressed as clowns, with the support of many of the English soundsystems including Bass Binge’s very own co promoters Ketwork 32.

Stivs regularly plays sets all over Europe and the U.K including large scale festivals such as this years Glade.

We are blessed to have not one but two of Life 4 Land’s dj and producers performing on the night with Mattycore joining Stivs. As with Stivs, Matty is inspired by the underground soundsystem culture and has recently been focusing on his producing with tracks such as ‘It’s a pity’ as well as playing out across the UK and beyond.
