Major League has dominated the Drum ‘n Bass scene in the Netherlands the last decade. Since this year, the Rotterdam based organization ran by Pim Schots, Lars Dingeman and Myron Freeling is also active in Budapest. In collaboration with Music Center the Netherlands, Major League organizes six events in the Hungarian capital. On July 23rd Major League is back in the Netherlands with a party in the Melkweg in Amsterdam.
The line ups of Major League are known for the combination of all styles of Drum ‘n Bass. From the minimal sounds by Icicle to the party beats by Noisia or Pendulum, all styles can be heard on the same night. “We enjoy all these different Drum ‘n Bass styles ourselves and love to promote them at our events. Drum ‘n Bass is very diverse, the people who come to Major League expect a broad mix of tunes from us ”, according to the three organizers.
The Melkweg and Major League have been working together for over six years to promote and book the best Drum ‘n Bass DJs in the Dutch capital. During 5DaysOff, at the Amsterdam Dance Event and again on July 23rd at the new Major League edition. This event showcases an international line up with performances by artists from London, Budapest, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Leiden and Amsterdam. Among others, the Jungle and Drum ‘n Bass legend Aphrodite will perform, but also the new English talent Tantrum Desire. Expect something special.
