The end of a huge year for drum & bass saw a lethal combination of promoters
come together to celebrate 12 months worth of classic records – all under
the guidance of a certain DJ Hype and 3 of the top MCs. Effortlessly holding
down another of his many NYE sets, the True Playa started at Midnight with
Hardware’s mighty ‘Messiah’ and proceeded to tear down the infamous
Sanctuary and take d&b into 2002.
