You know when you see Breakbeat Kaos emblazoned across a piece of vinyl that it’s sure to be a big release and here is no different with the welcome return of Baron for his first outing since ‘Endless Summer’, one of the biggest tunes of last summer. Having been away working on other projects it’s good to see him returning to what he does best; making dirty dance floor drum ‘n’ bass!

Kicking off is the massive ‘Turn Up The Sun’ which has been big in sets across clubland over the last few months. Solid two-step breaks pave the way for a cool undulating b-line that snakes its way along as it’s coupled by a hands-in-the-air synth riff, wicked drum edits and a subtle vocoded vocal. ‘Blinking With Fists’ doesn’t mess around either with a DJ friendly intro into a breakdown of gorgeous ‘be strong’ soothing female vocals and a rising guitar line. This then builds to a large drop of rich textured bass that punches through the speakers with eerie spaced-out synths going off over the top to polish off another classy piece from Baron.
